Protexin Fibreplex is a high-fiber, fast-acting oral paste specially formulated for small herbivores like rabbits and guinea pigs. It’s designed to help restore normal gut movement and balance the intestinal flora, especially during or after digestive disturbances such as GI stasis, dysbiosis, soft stools, or antibiotic therapy.
This supplement combines live yeast probiotics (Saccharomyces cerevisiae CNCM I-4407) with a dual-source Preplex® prebiotic blend (oligofructose and acacia gum) to support the gut microbiome. It primarily acts on the caecum, the critical site of fermentation in herbivores, making it particularly effective in helping the digestive system get back on track.
With added fiber and energy content, Fibreplex not only supports digestion but also provides ¼ of the daily resting energy requirement (RER), making it a valuable addition during periods of inappetence
